Joensuu Bunker Museum


Joensuu Bunker Museum area is part of the largest construction project ever undertaken in Finland, the Salpa Defence Line, extending for a total of 1200 kilometers from the Gulf of Finland to Salla in Lapland and on from there to the Arctic Ocean in the form of a series of field fortifications. Two reinforced concrete fortifications of Salpa Defence line are located at the museum area.

The Museum is located in Marjala, 8 kilometers from the center of Joensuu to Kuopio direction.

Open 1.-30.7.2017 Tue-Sun 11-17, free admission.
In May and September for groups by appointment, on weekdays 60 € and on Sundays and public holidays 119 € per group incl. guidance.
