The municipal library of Juuka is designed by architect company called Kaj Michael Oy and it was completed in July 1993. The building has received a nickname "Rihveli" because of its soapstone pillars in front of the main entrance: they look like giant stone pens. In addition, in the ceiling of the library, there's an artwork called "the Elli of Juuka", made by students of art university: the artwork that hangs in the ceiling reflects a woman's lifespan.

Library has 42 000 books in its collections. In addition, there is a separate room for people who want to read newspapers and magazines (for children, youth and adults). In our collections, there's also sports- and game instruments that you can borrow, too.

In the library, you can use computers, wireless network, digital piano or book a room from library tower to your work place. We can also help you with skanning and printing.

You can also organize your own events in our library or book our exhibition space for your own artworks.
