Joensuu Polar Bears
Winter Swimming Center Joensuu Polar is located in Vehkalahti, a bus ride from the center of Joensuu. There are two separate saunas in use, which are heated daily all year round. While ice swimming you can enjoy the cooling waves of Pyhäselkä. The premises can also be rented for private use.
Saunakeidas - Sauna Oasis
Saunakeidas, located in Ilosaari, Joensuu, is just a stone's throw from the city center. Two 12-person saunas are heated daily, and between saunas you can take a dip in the Pielisjoki River, in the Ilosaari lagoon. Sauna time must be booked in advance online, after which you will receive a PIN code as your access token.
Liperin pulikoijat
In Liperi, right in the center, on the village center church beach, you can access Avanto directly from the sauna steam rooms on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. You can also take a dip in Avanto at other times. A single visit is paid in cash, instructions for the seasonal fee can be found on site. For example, it is only about a half-hour drive from Joensuu to Liperi.

Ice swimming in Koli area is offered by Koli Freetime. The illuminated ice swimming pool is only 20 meters from the saunas, so you don't have to walk a long way in the snow to get wet. Public sauna and ice swimming sessions are organized on Thursdays and Saturdays. At other times, the services are available to guests daily, and the sauna can also be rented for private use if necessary.
