Yhdysreitti, Liperin Kinttupolut
The Yhdysreitti of Liperin Kinttupolut combines the Kinttupolut and Lykynpolut trail networks into one whole. The Yhdysreitti mainly follows sandy ski track bases. The route is easy.
Description
Yhdysreitti links together the Kinttupolut and Lykynpolut trail networks into one whole. The route starts from the Pärnävaara direction near the Pieni Heinälampi lean-to, where Surmilampi Trail, Heinälampi Trail, and Yhdysreitti meet. The other end of the route is at the Lykynlampi outdoor lodge. Yhdysreitti mainly follows sandy roads and sandy trails.
Along the way, there are several signboards where you can check your location and direction towards Lykynpolut or Jaama Trail. The route's sign color is purple. Along the route, the same path is used at the beginning by Surmilampi Trail (turquoise sign color), in the middle by Mertalampi Trail (yellow sign color), and near the end by Jaama Trail (orange sign color). Towards Lykynlampi, you can also choose alternative routes.
You can also access other Joensuu region trails via Jaama Trail from Yhdysreitti. This uniformly marked and easy to navigate trail network is nearly 200 km in length.

Location & Parking
Western end of Yhdysreitti: Drive from Joensuu along highway 9 towards Kuopio about 10 km, exit at junction 21 and then follow signs to Pärnävaara sports center. Through Liperin Kinttupolut you reach the start of Yhdysreitti.
Eastern end of Yhdysreitti: Drive from Joensuu along highway 9 towards Kuopio about 4 km, exit at junction 23 and follow the Lykynlampi signs at the Lykynlampi outdoor area.
The easiest access to Yhdysreitti is at its eastern end, located in front of the Lykynlampi outdoor lodge. Regular bus service goes to Lykynlampi.

Directions
The route starts near the Pieni Heinälampi lean-to at the point where Surmilampi Trail, Heinälampi Trail, and Yhdysreitti meet. Follow the route marked with purple signs towards Lykynlampi. The route goes along forest sandy roads and trail paths. Just before the halfway point, there is an asphalt road crossing where it is wise to be cautious. After this, the trail becomes narrower and goes for a short distance alongside Joensuu airport. Again, cross the road and continue on ski tracks to the Lykynlampi outdoor lodge.
