Unique Harjupolut mountain biking trail network

Located near Joensuu in the scenery of Utranharju, Harjupolut consists of four shorter mountain biking trail networks. This route tip takes you through the best parts of Harjupolut. The journey includes enjoyable needle trails, fast paths, and sandy edge trails of a gravel pit. Along the route is also the Utra technical track, a pump track built into the terrain. You can add a pleasant extension by turning at the eastern end of the ridge along the orange Jaama Trail to the Utra islands parking lot.

Jaama Trail connects Harjupolut to a trail network crossing over 200 km in the Joensuu region: Lykynlampi’s Lykynpolut, Liperi’s Kinttupolut, and Kontiolahti’s Kontionpolut network. From Kontiolahti trails, you can continue along the Kolinpolku all the way to Koli.

The starting point of the route is marked at Lehmo sports field, but it is equally possible to start from the Utra islands parking lot.

The Harjupolut trail network has good signage in the terrain. Along the route, there are several guide colors that this route tip follows.
