The Salpalinja Trail route is easy to walk and suitable for versatile exercise and hiking whether you are moving by mountain bike or on foot. The route is very well suited especially for beginners in mountain biking. Salpalinja Trail is easy to access, with the starting point at the parking area along Taskistentie, where the route also eventually ends.
During your hike, you can stop at the accessible home lean-to shelter at Jaamankangas to enjoy a well-deserved break, for example, with a cup of coffee. Firewood can be found in the woodshed of the shelter, and there is also an accessible toilet on site. You can also reach the accessible shelter via forest roads, making the enjoyment of hiking possible for everyone.
Near Salpalinja Trail is also the Hirviranta beach, where you can stop by for a refreshing break. There is also a campfire site at the beach for visitors' use.
The route is also open in winter.
