Ruunaa winter multi-use route Koskikierros
In the Ruunaa hiking area, the multi-purpose route allows winter cycling, snowmobiling, and even participating in a husky safari.
Description
The Koskikierros winter multi-purpose route is a 33-kilometer circular route starting at Ruunaan Matkailu. Along the route, there are shelters and campfire sites at appropriate intervals at Haapavitja, Onkilampi, and Siikakoski, where you can enjoy packed meals and rest. The route is marked in the terrain with snowmobile markers and blue grooming marks on ice and swamp sections. The route is groomed as needed, and notices are posted on the Ruunaan Matkailu Facebook page.
Accommodation and equipment rental for your winter trip are offered by Ruunaan Matkailu and Ruunaan Hiking Center. Accommodation is also provided by Ruunaan Metsäkoti.
At Ruunaa, you can also enjoy winter fishing, cross-country skiing, sauna steam, and stay in comfortable cottages or rooms.
