Directions
The route starts from the Kivivaara intersection parking lot. Next to the parking lot there is a lean-to shelter and campfire spot, as well as a boat and canoe launch area. Drive about 3 km towards Kivivaara, then turn right towards Ruuna. Drive this road about 3.5 km, then turn right.
About halfway along the route, after about 10 km, it is possible to turn right onto a side road that leads to a campfire spot. If you do not want to stop at the campfire spot, continue straight. Turn right at all the following intersections until you reach Alakyläntie. Along Alakyläntie is the Nurmijärvi sandy beach. At the end of Alakyläntie turn left and drive back to the Kivivaara intersection parking lot.
