Pesävaara Trail, Liperi's Kinttupolut
Pesävaara Trail is a varied and hilly route in Liperi's Kinttupolut, where a visit to Restaurant Gaiju is recommended to combine with your outdoor day.
Description
Pesävaara Trail is an exhilarating, versatile, and challenging route in Liperi's Kinttupolut. The route loops over several hills in hilly and partly rocky terrain. Along the way you will find various forests: moss-covered spruce forests, rugged pine forests, and younger mixed forests. The route has large and deep depressions called kettle holes, which have been shaped during the ice age by melting ice blocks embedded in the soil.
The route's technical difficulty is threefold. There are a couple of kilometers of rockier and more challenging trails, about 3 km of easier trails, and a couple of kilometers of easy cart roads. The challenge level alternates suitably.
It is recommended to combine your outdoor day with a visit to Restaurant Gaiju, located about one kilometer from the Pesävaara Trail starting point (Veteläsuontie 4) at Vaiviontie 75a.
