Along the Timitra trail, there is a spacious kota suitable for groups from the Lamminkylä Village Association, which can be rented.
Pärnävaara trail 6 km, Timitra ski center
A 6-kilometer ski route through the beautiful forests and rocky areas of Lieksa, offering a challenge even for experienced skiers. You can ski using both classic and skating styles on the trail.
Description
The trails at the Timitra ski center are also designed for competitive skiing, so the trail network is versatile. Skiers can enjoy long descents, sharp climbs, and fast turns. You can ski both classic and skating styles on the trails. Trail lights turn on by dusk sensors on all lit trails and turn off at 9 PM.
The route also includes the option to circle steep climbs and difficult descents, as well as shorter 3 and 5 kilometer sections. There is a cabin at the ski center where you can enjoy a hot drink by the campfire and rest after your skiing trip.

Safety
The Finnish Ski Association has compiled six tips to keep the trails peaceful and everyone in good spirits throughout the winter:
- Remember that the trail is shared. Be considerate of others.
- Always ski on the right, pass on the left.
- Do not walk your dog on the trail.
- Choose your skiing style. Do not skate on the classic trail.
- Step off the trail if you want to take a selfie or stop for other reasons.
- Give others enough space to ski or descend hills.

Route description 6 km:
0: Start: From the stadium area
0 - 1 km: gentle descent and flat terrain, followed by a longer gentle climb and gentle descent to the cabin.
1 - 3 km: The trail passes through a beautiful spruce forest. A long, challenging climb and a fast descent with a sharp turn at 1.5 km near the bottom. After the climb, the trail continues with a challenging descent that must be taken carefully. (At 1.7 km, you can shorten the route by switching to the 3 km trail.)
3 – 4 km: The trail continues uphill, followed by a long descent. Fitness equipment is located at 3.2 km.
4 - 5 km: Bridge, from which the 6 km trail continues to the left with a long descent followed by a climb. (The 3 and 5 km loops turn right from the bridge). The cabin is at this point.
5 - 6 km: Flat trail through the forest, followed by a steep climb and a demanding descent. The last part goes counterclockwise on the same trail back to the starting point.
