Description
The Oravilahti cultural and outdoor route forms an 8.6 km circular route, which passes the southern side of the drainage area and the Bird Castle birdwatching tower. It is possible to make a shorter loop of about 6 km by bypassing the northern roads of the drainage area. Both routes offer a chance to learn about the history of the drainage area at the pumping station and to admire the Rääkkylä wooden church from 1851. The route can be almost entirely travelled on light traffic paths and quiet agricultural roads around the drainage area.
Starting point can be from the center of Rääkkylä, where there is parking space at the S-Market yard.
