Lykynlampi Trail, Lykynpolut

Description
The Lykynlampi Trail cheerfully winds along narrow beautiful needle-covered paths. The route is marked with blue dots and signposts. Both in planning and signposting, mountain bikers have been well taken into account. The five-kilometer route is also suitable for beginners in mountain biking and is available to cyclists also in winter. The Lykynlampi Trail crosses both roads and other outdoor routes and therefore requires particular attention from travelers at times. The nearby frisbee golf course is good to note, although the fairways do not intersect with the route.
The Lykynlampi outdoor center is located around the small Lykynlampi pond. The Lykynlampi trails include four marked routes, one of which is accessible. Lykynlampi's Lykynpolut offers trail experiences for mountain bikers of all levels.
The Jaama Trail and the connector route starting from the Lykynlampi outdoor lodge connect the Lykynpolut to a network in the Joensuu region with over 200 km of marked routes: to Utranharju's Harjunpolut, Liperin Kinttupolut, and Kontiolahti's Kontionpolut route network. From Kontiolahti's routes, one can continue along the Kolinpolku all the way to Koli.
Location & Parking
There is plenty of free parking space beside the Lykynlampi outdoor lodge.
Directions
The route starts in front of the Lykynlampi ski lodge. The guide color for the route is blue, which makes it easy to follow through the route. After leaving the yard of the Lykynlampi ski lodge, the route splits in two directions. The recommended direction is from the branch to the left, that is clockwise. After just over a kilometer, the route reaches a crossing of an asphalt road. Cross carefully! On the other side of the asphalt road, the route circles a loop of about 2 km and returns to the same point at the road crossing.
The route has many intersections, but each intersection is signposted with a post that has a blue top and arrows in both directions.
