Liperin Kinttupolut (the easiest trails starting from Kaprakka)
The two easiest routes of Liperin Kinttupolkujen, Pahakala and Matkalampi trails, run through diverse terrain and are also excellent for beginners in mountain biking.
Description
The trail has a few hilly and slightly more challenging short sections which can be walked with the bike.
Along the route, there are two huts and one lean-to shelter. The Vaaralampi hut is located by a small pond in the middle of a dark spruce forest. The Huttulampi hut is right next to the Kaprakka starting point and is also excellent for families with children. The Sompalampi lean-to shelter is located near Ylämylly. Additionally, there is a swimming hall next to the Kaprakka starting point where you can sauna, swim, and shower according to opening hours!

Location & Parking
There is regular bus service from Joensuu to Liperin Käsämä. From the nearest bus stop on Kuopiontie (Stop name: Käsämä Kaprakka th L) it is a 750-meter walk to the starting point of the Pahakala Trail on Silmutie.

Drive from Joensuu on Highway 9 towards Kuopio about 23 km, exit at the Kaprakka road junction to the right, cross the railway track and then go straight over the intersection towards the Kaprakka parking lots. The starting point of the route is located on the right side of the road.
Directions
Follow the signs for Liperin Kinttupolkujen's Pahakala (pink) and Matkalampi (blue) trails. There are good guideposts and map boards in the terrain.
