Korkeasärkän trail in Petkeljärvi National Park
The Korkeasärkän trail is a dead-end trail that lives up to its name. The trail is partly rocky, the ridge narrow and the edges steep – in other words: a thrilling ridge trail between two bodies of water.
Description
The official route starts from the junction between Kokkolahde and Savulampi, at the turn of Kuikan Kierros and Harjupolku. From here to the cape tip is 2 km and the same distance back. If you plan to take only Korkeasärkänpolku without connecting it to Kuikan Kierros or Harjupolku, the one-way distance increases by about 900 meters when starting from Petkeljärvi hiking center. The total distance in this case is 5.4 km.
