Easy / partly challenging, but also suitable for beginners. Ascent / descent 145m. The trail offers enjoyable mountain biking and trail running in a beautiful cultural landscape. The starting point is at Kirkkoniemi, next to the church, where parking is also available. The trail consists of a circular route in Kirkkoniemi, traveling along shoreline single track and asphalt and gravel roads. Kirkkoniemi features a particularly beautiful cultural landscape, a beach on the shore of Lake Tohmajärvi, and the Pitäjäntupa cafe open in summer. There is also a campfire site in Turusniemi on this loop. The trail has a back-and-forth connection on asphalt road and trail to Kapakanpelto, where it joins the Piilovaara Trail. Kissavaara has a technically demanding rocky section and a couple of steeper hills. From Kissavaara there is a connection to the birdwatching tower at Peijonniemenlahti and the highly valuable wetland bird habitat. Kirkkoniemi Trail connects to the area's nature trails (marked in yellow), which offer additional route options. Nature trails are not maintained for mountain biking.

Kirkkoniemi Trail is an easy / partly difficult trail, also for beginners. Trail is bidirectional, total ascent / descent 145m. Trail offers enjoyable mountain biking and trail running in a very beautiful cultural landscape. The starting point locates at Kirkkoniemi, next to church where is also parkings. Trail consists of circular part in Kirkkoniemi and back and forth -part to Piilovaara Trail. Circular part goes in a very beautiful cultural landscape, close to the coastline of Lake Tohmajärvi. Trails is partly single track and partly sand- or asphalt road. There are also beach, campfire site and summertime café Pitäjäntupa in this part of the trail. In back and forth -part to Piilovaara Trail is one technically demanding place (in Kissavaara) and two tougher hills. From Kissavaara is also connection to birdwatching tower and Peijonniemenlahti wetland (nature reserve) where is very rich birdlife. Kirkkoniemi Trail connects with Nature Trails (marked with yellow colour), which offers more route variation. Nature Trails are in a natural condition and are not specially maintained for mountain biking.

There are stairs along the route, which can be bypassed.
