Hepopuro nature trail
A nature trail that runs through the beautiful scenery of Varparanta.
Description
The starting point of the Hepopuro nature trail is located at the Riihilahti swimming area. You can get information about the surrounding nature and cultural history from info boards set up along the Hepopuro nature trail, such as the alder tree by the stream, the old shoreline, and a Stone Age dwelling site. The route is very suitable for family hiking. The terrain is easy to walk in many places. Beautifully moss-covered stones border the pine forest trail, changing to a more lush streamside and then to a forest road base. The nature trail is marked in the terrain with orange-topped poles. The Hepopuro nature trail is about 5.9 kilometers long and the trail partly runs along a road. Next to the starting point is also the Varparanta village association's kota and campfire site. The maintenance of the Hepopuro trail is the responsibility of the Varparanta village association.
