Lykynpolut cheerfully winds along narrow beautiful needle paths and forest roads. The route tip consists of marked trails from the Lykynpolut trail network.

In both planning and signage, mountain bikers have been well considered. The 15-kilometer-long route also suits beginner mountain bikers. Lykynpolut intersects with roads and other outdoor trails and therefore requires particular attention from travelers in some places. The nearby frisbee golf course is good to keep in mind, although the lanes do not cross the route.
The Lykynlampi outdoor center is located around the small Lykynlampi. The Lykynlampi trail system includes four marked trails, one of which is accessible. Lykynlampi's Lykynpolut offer trail experiences for mountain bikers of all levels.
Jaama Trail and the connector trail from the Lykynlampi outdoor lodge link Lykynpolut to a network in the Joensuu region with over 200 km of marked trails: Utranharju's Harjunpolut, Liperi's Kinttupolut, and Kontiolahti's Kontionpolut trail network. From Kontiolahti trails, you can continue via the Kolinpolku all the way to Koli.

Follow the marked trails of Lykynpolut as follows:
Start from in front of the Lykynlampi outdoor lodge along the blue Lykynlampi Trail heading north. After 2 km, you cross an asphalt road and continue for 1 km along the blue trail. Then follow 1 km of the purple connector trail, 4 km of the yellow Mertalampi trail, back 1 km along the purple connector trail, and the blue Lykynlampi Trail to Lykynlampi. After this, the route tip still circles around Lykynlampi along the Lykynvaara Trail.
