Mäntypolku - a versatile short trail in Patvinsuo National Park

The path through the pine forests is a family-friendly hiking trail with plenty to see and do. Along the trail, you'll see both nature's changing exhibits and the man-made environment.

Description

Along the route you'll find the stunning sandy shores of Lake Suomunjärvi, beetle trails, shimmering ponds and beaver nesting structures. On the way you can visit the oldest building in Patvinsuo, a forest fire area and a coal mine. The route is a favourite with day walkers.

The trail is very easy to follow and is marked with a blue circle. At the end of a wonderful nature experience, you can enjoy the varied services of Suomu Tuva & Tiina's Café. Ask for guided nature tours, too: listen to a bear's story, the whispering of a swamp or take part in a cranberry tour!
