SUMMER WEEK IN KARELIA

Make the most of your holiday in Karelia and spend an active summer week experiencing the beautiful nature around the Bomba Karelian Village. Enjoy a cycling tour, a two-day quad bike adventure and a canoeing expedition, plus lots of other activities – both recreational and relaxing – in and around the resort.

Price includes: Accommodation at Holiday Club Bomba in double rooms (5 nights) and
1 night in a cabin, free use of spa and gym, meals (6 x breakfast, 6 x dinner, 2 x snack during the programmes, 2 x lunch), guided excursions (biking, quad bike safari, canoeing) and transfers from/to airport or railway station (Joensuu or Kuopio).
Driving license for quad bike is required; the excess fee of all-risk insurance is 500 €.

PROGRAM

DAY 1
Arrival at the Bomba resort, check-in to hotel rooms. Dinner at Bomba restaurant (traditional Karelian and Finnish buffet).

DAY 2
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour around the Bomba resort by bicycle. Guided biking tour to Ellu rocks, including typical Karelian views: high hills and the beautiful Lake Pielinen. Snacks around the campfire. Length of biking tour: approx. 15 km. Dinner at Bomba. Free use of spa and sauna.

DAY 3
Breakfast. Two-day quad bike adventure begins. Driving and safety instructions are given by the guide. The quad bikes are registered for road traffic and they are easy to drive. Our destination is the Teeri-Lososuo wetland situated in southern Kainuu, including hiking tour in the very bosom of Mother Nature. Snacks around the campfire. After a 12-kilometre hike, short drive to Lake Peurajärvi, accommodation in cabin. Sauna and dinner. Possibility for fishing.

DAY 4
Breakfast. Second day with quad bikes. Drive through picturesque Finnish countryside to Karhunpää village. Learn about reindeer and enjoy cosy lunch at the Laitala farmhouse. Return to Bomba. Free use of spa and sauna. Dinner at Bomba.

DAY 5
Breakfast. Canoeing tour on Lake Pielinen: paddling lessons given by experienced guide. Lunch at Bomba. In the afternoon we learn how to make Karelian pasties with a local specialist. After baking our own Karelian pasties we enjoy them with a cup of coffee or tea. Dinner at Bomba. Free use of spa and sauna.

DAY 6
Breakfast. Free time or optional tour. Dinner at Bomba. Free use of spa and sauna.

DAY 7
Breakfast. Departure home. Airport transfer.
